Japanes Ice Balls are the lastest craze to hit the Western world. Currently they can only be found in up-market bars and restaurants (and mainly in London)

The story goes, a few bartenders in Japan noticed how slow some of their drinkers were - but how quickly their ice cubes melted in their drinks. The upshot being their drinks always ended up watery and as a result half finished. Not good for business or cocktails.

A brain wave suddenly engulfed them.

What if they could create an "ice cube" that wasn't an ice CUBE, had less surface area and thus melted slower than a conventional ice cube?

After much deliberation and experimentation, the Japanese Ice Ball was invented and created. It was literally an instant success.

Not wishing to be rude, but the UK has always taken its time in picking up new, innovative and brilliant ideas.

Let's not complain, they are here in the UK and currently considered exclusive (at this moment).

There are only 3-4 companies in the UK making Japanese Ice Balls. We're one of them.

It takes anywhere from 3 - 5 minutes to make EACH Ice ball - once we have made the original ice block (and that takes 48-96 hours to make!) Japanese Ice Balls are made individually in a specially constructed brass mold. They are labour intensive and time consuming to make - but hey, they are worth it!
